Okay I’m a little pissed off about this “discourse” so let me just get this off my chest.

Stop. Comparing. Catra and Adora’s Abuse. To discount or write off he others abuse.

I am so SICK of seeing posts pointing out and “analyzing” each character’s experience and abuse to nit pick and dismiss the others abuse.

“Adora should have known, she let Catra be hurt”

“Adora did nothing wrong, Catra blew everything out of proportion”

Stop.

Both Adora AND Catra suffered abuse in different ways.

Both were hurt and manipulated and both ARE victims.

Stop discounting ones abuse to excuse ones actions or make the other look bad.

Stop saying one had it worse to make the others abuse look “less bad.”

Stop discounting ones abuse because the other “made it out okay / escaped”

They had different types of abuse and different levels of abuse, that’s definitely true.

But both were still abused.

They were fucking kids.

They are still growing and are still in ways controlled and shaped by the typed of abuse they suffered for years.

Fucking stop trying to compare their abuse stories or give one of them blame or excuse one for their actions.

Both made mistakes.

Both were abused.

They were kids.

Leave them alone.
