MARC IS CANONLY AN LGBTQ+ MEMBER

LOOK AT THIS TWITTER POST FROM THOMAS, GUYS

Marc was inspired by one of Thomas’s real life genderfluid bi friend. Meaning that MARC is the LGBTQ character they were planning. AND THAT MARC HAS A CRUSH ON NATHANIEL AND ITS CANON. CANON I TELL YOU.

There is no heterosexual explanation for this pic. MARC X NATHANIEL LIVES ON

Chloenath and Tomato Fox who? (I still ship Tomato Fox ahahaha but this ship just took the biggest part of the cake lmao)

THE SHIP NAME IS RAINBOW TOMATO AND NO ONE CAN CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE

Also Marc Anciel… arc en ciel. His name is literally rainbow. Nice one, Astruc. And with a rainbow shirt too? It’s subtle but it’s THERE

The Love Square: Canon vs. Fanon (def. inspired by this post)

(Note: putting something in the “fanon” category does NOT mean “u should never ever use this trope ever and if u do ur a terrible writer and I hate u!” The point of this image is not to dictate how people can and can’t write, but to poke a bit of fun at common fic tropes and show how different some of them can be from the actual show–especially the ones that have become so widespread that some fans take them for granted and forget they’re not actually canon.)

not to be That Guy bringing serious stuff into fandom, but… Ms. Bustier’s teaching in the beginning of Zombizou reminded me too much of a dark real life story.

The story is, if you don’t want to read the article, of a fifth grade teacher who asks her students every Friday for a short list of students they want to work with in the next week. Except she doesn’t actually use it to put students into preferred groups – she uses it to figure out, by elimination, who is bullied or lonely. Why? She’s been using it since the Columbine High School shootings. She realized school shooters came from loneliness, and sought to quash it in her own class.

So, watching Zombizou, I knew exactly why she resolved fights, does breathing exercises, asks students to give daily compliments, and says “If we wish to change the world, we must all learn to love each other.” In my opinion, these are all direct responses to akuma attacks, and Ms. Bustier trying to prevent them from the inside. This culminated in Ms. Bustier personally trying to block an akuma with her own body.

As an American especially, her role in protecting her students from harm cannot be appreciated enough.
